Diseases of pregnant women

Diseases of pregnant women are pathologies that can overtake any woman who is expecting an addition to the family. Diseases of pregnant women can have a different nature. About a third of all women suffer from them during pregnancy. Diseases of pregnant women can be a serious threat to both the health of the mother and the health of the unborn baby. Pregnant women suffering from any pathologies must certainly be registered to exercise control over their condition. If any disease is detected, treatment is carried out in specialized medical institutions, where a detailed clinical examination is performed in advance to exclude violations in the development of the fetus.

This scheme can significantly reduce the risk of intrauterine death of the fetus and newborn. It is strictly forbidden to treat diseases of pregnant women on their own, as this can lead to tragic consequences. Medicines during pregnancy are prescribed with extreme caution and only if it is impossible to do without them.

Among the diseases of pregnant women, in particular, there are:

– infections of the genitourinary system;

– anemia;

– arterial hypertension.

Diseases of pregnant women – infections of the genitourinary system

One woman in ten during pregnancy has a kidney disease such as acute pyelonephritis. With the development of this disease, the pregnant woman develops fever and chills, nausea and often continuous vomiting, threatening dehydration. Pregnant women complain of pain in the lumbar region, pain in the process of emptying the bladder is not common. With such a disease, pregnant women will certainly be hospitalized for appropriate therapy in specialized departments.

The next most common disease of pregnant women is acute cystitis and active reproduction of microbes in the genitourinary system.

The high probability of developing infectious diseases of the genitourinary system during pregnancy is due to the fact that they can lead to late toxicosis of pregnant women, which often lead to spontaneous termination of pregnancy, that is, to miscarriage.

Diseases of pregnant women – hypertension

Arterial hypertension affects women who are carrying a child who have a hereditary predisposition

are suffering from diabetes or kidney disease. Usually, the pressure is at an elevated level in the first

months of pregnancy or when pregnant with more than one fetus. Blood pressure normalizes after the birth of a child. However, during fetal development, high blood pressure can lead to fetal death.

Diseases of pregnant women – anemia

The development of anemia, or anemia, in pregnant women occurs for several reasons. Often the reason lies in the disorder of the absorption capacity of the intestine in relation to iron, bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, in placental abruption. Anemia can provoke severe toxicosis,

pregnancy with multiple fetuses, diseases of a chronic nature, such as hepatitis. Anemia is observed especially often at that time of the year when a person receives few vitamins.

The process of hematopoiesis is affected by the hormonal background. Male sex hormones improve iron absorption, while women, on the contrary, slightly worsen it. For this reason, during the transition period, many girls often suffer from anemia, which can then develop into anemia during pregnancy. As a rule, this violation of hematopoiesis is established in the first stages of bearing a child.

Anemia causes the need for constant regulation of the concentration of hemoglobin in the blood. If hemoglobin falls, then it is necessary to adjust the diet by saturating it with iron-rich foods and fresh fruits. If necessary, nutrition is supplemented with vitamin complexes and medicines.
